I get a sense of accomplishment and a bit of sorrow when I finish a painting. I enjoyed painting the Glade Grist Mill. 

Here's some history on the Glade Grist Mill from this government website 

• "The Glade Creek Grist Mill, a fully operable mill was built in 1976 in West Virginia's Babcock State Park as a re-creation, made from parts of three old mills, of Cooper's Mill, which burned to the ground in the 1920s andground grain on Glade Creek long before Babcock became a state park. The replacement building is one of the most-photographed structures in the state."

This painting is special to me because we filmed virtually all its creation. It began as a demo during Art Chat TV's Chat, Create, & Cocktails show. After that, we recorded the rest of its creation at Art Chat TV's Tree House Studio in Asheville, NC.

Currently, the final session that we recorded shows Linda laying in the fall colors of the leaves and painting the grist mill.
